Why “Joy”, “Love” and “Peace”?

January 6, 2017

The simple answer would be, because that is all we are made off! If this is what we are made of then how could we have experiences that may include the opposite.

If you squeeze an orange, only orange juice would come out. Never apple juice comes out of an orange.

So when they squeeze you, what will come out? Joy, Love and Peace OR the opposite; Unhappiness, Hate and Hostility?

A lot of times we are confused by this and justify our actions by making others or other events responsible for what comes out of us as we blame them. If they had behaved in a certain way that was more pleasing to us Joy, Love and Peace would have come out in-lieu of the opposite. However, the truth is that only what is inside can come out.

So where did it all start? If we were all born with only this essence of goodness then when did bad and opposite ever start?

There are many philosophies about the origin of bad. The best explanation may lie in understanding the EGO. When you go to bed you must give up your ego in order to fall sleep and when you wake up in the morning, it is your EGO that demands for you to get up and attend the body. It can be as simple as, get up and feed me or as complicated as, you are so and so, get up and conquer the world and do whatever it takes to accomplish that because I want more.

It appears that the book of Genesis from the Old Testament may have one of the explanations. Apparently the bad started when Adam and Eve’s sons had a dispute and Cain killed Able. Supposedly, Cain and Able were bringing the best offering of the land to god as a form of appreciation before eating them. Able, without hesitation, had gathered the best product of what he had harvested and god had blessed it. Cain had brought his best product too but hesitated to offer it and questioned it that if he offers less to god there will be more for himself. God was aware of his thoughts and rejected his offering by not blessing it. Cain became angry and jealous of his brother and killed him through his Unhappiness, Hate and Hostility.

Regardless of our religious beliefs or the source that we may choose to search for the beginning of bad, the concept presented makes perfect sense. When we understand the unity of all and feel no separation, the absolute result of that internal thought and unity without any resistance; is Joy, Love and Peace. When we have a thought of separation and wanting more for us and less for others, something changes within us that energetically produces something opposite to our true essence as we interpret it as Unhappiness, Hate and Hostility.

So the choice is ours, either we recognize our true essence and align ourselves with that energy that beats our hearts and experience Joy, Love and Peace or look for a reason for separation and experience the opposite.
